Privacy Policy

Portfolios World hosts bilingual portfolios. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the platform stores, where it is kept and how you can have it removed.

What we store

We keep only what the platform needs to run your portfolio:

  • Your account: email address, username, display name and a hashed password (never the password itself)
  • Your portfolio content: profile text, experience, projects, skills, services, and the images and files you upload
  • Messages visitors send you through your portfolio’s contact form: their name, email address, subject and message
  • Technical logs: IP address, browser details and request times, used for security, rate limiting and fixing errors

Who can see what

Your portfolio is public once you publish it; drafts and unpublished projects are not. Contact messages are visible only to you, in your dashboard. The platform admin can see account details to manage accounts and keep the service safe. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Where it is hosted

The website runs on Vercel, the API and its database run on Render, and uploaded images and files are stored with Supabase. These providers process the data on our behalf to host the service.

Cookies and browser storage

We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The site keeps only:

  • A session cookie that keeps you signed in to your dashboard (HttpOnly; removed when you sign out or when it expires)
  • Your language choice for the platform pages
  • Your theme (light or dark) and dashboard preferences, stored in your browser
  • Anonymous page-view counts (Vercel Web Analytics, without cookies)

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard (account settings): your profile, content, uploaded files and messages are removed. If you cannot sign in, write to us at shathahamdan419@gmail.com and we will delete it for you. Technical logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.

Accounts and registration

Accounts are created by invitation for now, or by open sign-up when the platform enables it. Either way, you choose your username and can change it from your dashboard.
